Who we are?

Windsor Christian Academy, Inc. is a parochial institution that does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or origin in administration of its policies, admission policies and other center administered programs.

Windsor Christian Academy is licensed by the Child Care Administration and Maryland State Department of Education and strives to provide the highest quality of care possible for your children.

WCA is a member of the Association Christian Schools International; (ACSI). We are currently in the process of renewing our accreditation. This accreditation validates our quality and verify that we are striving for excellence based on a solid Christian philosophy of education foundation.

Our teachers meet and or exceed the minimum certification requirement in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and are constantly being presented for further training and workshops. They are mandated to attend additional ECE classes each year offered by various childcare organizations, to enhance their present skills, keep abreast of new research and create an inviting safe classroom.

The mission of Windsor Christian Academy, Inc. is to assist families in the Baltimore County area by providing an environment conducive to the optimal development of the whole child – spiritual, cognitive, physical, emotional, and social.

WCA was established for the purpose of providing high quality childcare in a safe, nurturing, educational, and family oriented environment. We believe in the scriptural injunction to “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will turn from it” (Proverbs 22:6). It is our goal to individualize the education of every child through the freedom and flexibility of activity time, organize circle activities, emerging curriculum, and “teachable moments”.

The centers purpose is to provide parents with a Christian-based alternative it existing child care centers in the area. For this reason, we are praying center and we teach our children to worship and praise the Lord.

The vision of Windsor Christian Academy aims to create a nourishing environment in which your child will become spiritually connected, intellectually adept, collaboratively engaged, and socially aware of themselves and society.

Family Value Statement

Windsor Christian Academy is a ministry of Jesus House Baltimore and exists to demonstrate God’s love for children and parents of this community. We are a Christian ministry that believe in the truth and relevance of the Bible. We also believe in the transformation of lives by teaching our children Christian values, ethics, principles and the word of God.

Our goal at Windsor Christian Academy is to develop leaders of tomorrow with a solid foundation academically and in the knowledge of God, and to positively affect their communities and the world at large and become successful in life.

We develop a relationship with the parents and families of our children so that we can all work together in achieving the goal of WCA.

  • Our goal is that each of our faculty members have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • Our curriculum for children is taught from a Christian perspective and is based on the principles of the Bible.

  • We honor the parenting roles and child development principles taught in Scripture. Here are the key examples:

Genesis 1:27. So God created people in his own image; God patterned them after himself; male and female he created them.

Specifically, we teach that men and women (boys and girls) are created with equal value in the image of God and that he loves them intensely. And families consist of male and female parents.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7: These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. (NIV)

At Windsor Christian Academy, each board member, director, administrator and teacher bear witness to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and are committed to serve faithfully to the best of their ability.

We believe that the family as God intended is, whenever possible, a partnership between a man and a woman who share responsibility and submit to one another out of love for each other and respect for their Creator. The parents in turn, out of that same kind of love and respect, honor their children as created in the image of God and raise them to love God and love people.

Whenever possible, we believe that the primary teachers of children are their parents. Our intent is to assist parents by teaching their children the truths of God, a love for people, along with the skills and knowledge necessary to equip them for life.

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30).

We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33),
His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35),
His sinless life (Hebrews 4: 15, 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11),
His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9),
His Resurrection (John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4),
His Ascension to the right hand of God (Mark 16:19),
His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11).

We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God’s grace and through faith alone are we saved (John 3:16–19, 5:24; Romans 3:23, 5:8–9; Ephesians 2:8–10; Titus 3:5).

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of condemnation (John 5:28–29).

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 2:12–13, Galatians 3:26–28).

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13–14; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19–20; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18).
